What's new In TMI?
TMI supports all faculty and instructional programs in the use of Butte College's Learning Management System (LMS), currently Blackboard (Bb) Learn. We provide comprehensive faculty training in the use of Bb and the design of supplemental online resources, as well as fully online courses.
We also train and support faculty in the usage of Respondus, an assessment authoring program for use with Bb.
We provide individual, group, and departmental consultations for faculty upon request and by appointment. We do not offer "in-course" support directly to students. We do offer regularly scheduled workshops on common features in Bb for students through the BC Library's Digital Literacy program. These occur on the Main Campus, Glenn County Center, and Chico Center locations.
Our department has regular advisory meetings with the Academic Technology Committee (ATC) and the Distance Learning Committee (DLC), both of which report to the Butte College Academic Senate.
TMI is proud of our role in participatory governance, and observe faculty recommendations in our decision making process regarding the services we provide to further instructor effectiveness and student success.
