Butte College Student Health Clinic handles a wide range of health-related situations including emergency medical treatment, specialized medical services, health counseling, crisis and personal therapy, and appropriate referrals to community resources. In addition we also provide educational information to our students and health related events throughout the year.

The Student Health Clinic's purpose is to work together with our students giving them the tools to lead a long, healthy, active life. We take good health very seriously, so let us be your first stop to staying well.

All students currently registered in classes are eligible for services. During the summer, you are elegible for service if you are enrolled in the  Fall semester.

Fall and Spring Hours
Monday - Thursday
7:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Drop-ins are available on Wednesday 8:00 am to 11:00 am for acute illness and injuries.         Please arrive by 10:30 am in order to be seen.

Friday - Drop-ins  from 8 am to 11am. To assure your chance to be seen, please arrive by 10:30.

Confidentiality
We adhere to very strict Federal regulations on healthcare privacy (HIPPA). The student's time here is private and confidential. HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices

Confidentiality may be broken if the patient poses a danger to self or others.

Treatment of Minors
Any student under the age of 18 is required to have a parental consent form signed and on file at the clinc before receiving treatment (except in emergencies or cases exempted by law). This form can be picked up at the Student Health Clinic or  click here to print and complete at home.

Accident and Injury Insurance
The Butte-Glenn College District covers students for injuries that occur on campus, in college-sponsored activities and classes, and while traveling under college supervision to and from such activities. This insurance is subsidized in part by your Health fee. The injured student must file an insurance claim at SHC within 90 days of the injury.
