- Largest community college campus (acre-wise) in California – 928 acres
- Wildlife sanctuary
- Wildlife seen on or near campus: Rattlesnakes, Deer, Quail, Bats, Skunks, Raccoons
- More than 21,800 students attend Butte each school year
- Operates the largest community college transportation system in California
- Moved to current site from Durham in 1974
- Has Glenn County Center in Orland and Chico Center in Chico
- 44% of the Butte College Main Campus is powered through solar energy. This makes the college the largest solar producing campus in the state.
