The Butte College CTE Transitions Program (formerly Tech Prep Program) is a cooperative effort of the college, ten of the comprehensive high schools in Butte and Glenn Counties and the Regional Occupational Programs in Butte and Glenn Counties. The program assists local & Northern California Region high schools and  Butte College in their efforts to prepare all students for success in the new economy.

Integration of academic and occupational education, teaching students within a meaningful context, hands-on learning, and sequencing of secondary and post-secondary curriculum are emphasized. The CTE Transitions Program is an effective tool in reforming education to meet the needs of the 21st Century workplace.
