62nd Butte College Firefighter Academy Ceremony The 62nd Butte College Firefighter Academy End-of-Program Ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 8, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley High School Center for the Arts, 1475 East Avenue, Chico. Keynote speaker will be Chico Fire Chief Shane Lauderdale. A total of 25 cadets are in the program.
Baseball Team Helps Children Have A Brighter Christmas Over the last three years, the baseball program, including players and staff, have worked with the Esplanade House, a transitional supportive housing program for homeless families in Chico, to help children receive holiday toys.

Butte College Receives $37,850 Rebate Check from PG&E Butte College Facilities staff developed a Building Automation Systems (BAS) project that met Proposition 39 requirements of reducing energy costs, and avoiding future utility cost increases. The total cost of the project was $420,810. This District received $37,850 in energy efficiency incentives from PG&E for its upgrade project.
