Earth Day Celebration at Butte College

Oroville, CA
The Butte College Associated Students, Sustainability Resource Center (SRC) will host our annual Earth Day celebration, on April 22 and 23, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Activities will be taking place at the Butte College main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, on the Fountain Lawn and is free to attend. This year the focus will be on campus, local, and national issues.  The SRC hopes to motivate people to change personal habits, educate about issues that they may not know about, and give attendees tangible things they can do to make sustainable changes. The SRC wants to encourage and empower students to use the vast amounts of resources that exist on our campus and in our community.

Each day students, faculty and staff can expect live music, Earthbound Skills demonstrations, hooping and spinning performance by the Lumininjas, GRUB education, healthy food, sustainable vendors, educational student booths, a wellness tent with free 5 minute massage, and a community of individuals inspired to become more sustainable.
