A new auto fair will take place every weekend at the Butte College Chico Center parking lot, 2320 Forest Avenue, on Saturdays and Sundays, with part of the proceeds of the seller’s display fees being donated to the Butte College Foundation and Athletics Department. This past weekend, Jan. 4-6, was the Auto Fair’s ‘soft opening’.
“We did a soft opening last weekend, and we were pleased to see 200 people checking out cars and requesting more information on selling a vehicle. The response was great especially given the weather. Our goal is to make it become the most effective and efficient way available to sell your vehicle in the North State,” said Terry Libbon, Terry Libbon Automotive. “We invite the public to come and sell their vehicles, boats, RV’s or motorcycles.”
The cost to display a vehicle per weekend is $49 for autos; $34 for boats or motorcycles; and $54 for RV’s. Any seller can display a vehicle for sale for 3 weekends and if it doesn’t sell – the seller will receive another 3 free weekends. Vehicles can be s at the Chico Center lot on Friday after 4 p.m. or Saturday morning, and the vehicle will be displayed at the event the entire weekend and pick up is Sunday by 6 p.m.
Attendants will be on the lot to answer any questions buyers may have. Buyers can check vehicle over inside and out and start the engine. The keys to vehicles will be secured in our booth. All vehicles will be unlocked during display hours and then locked and secured after hours. Security is provided.
A portion of all proceeds to benefit the Butte College Foundation and Athletics. For more information, call 530-828-0291.
