Butte College invites the community to celebrate its Earth Day Celebration on April 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with two fun filled days of educational booths, live music, guest speakers, class presentations, and food at the main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive. The event will be held between the Campus Center and LRC Courtyard. On April 19, Whipple will play music from found objects from 11-noon, followed by GQ offering contemporary music from noon to 1 p.m., and later a dj will provide music until 3 p.m. On Wednesday, April 20, the Sustainable Living Roadshow (www.sustainablelivingroadshow.org) will feature a Solutionary Showcase, Conscious Carnival, and Tea Lounge. Students will be treated to the music of Soul Union from 11 to 12:20, Wolf Thump from 12:30 to 1 p.m., and Avita Treason from 1-2 p.m. At 1 p.m. guest speaker Pamm Larry will discuss Genetically Modified Foods (GMO)and the Statewide GMO Labeling Campaign on the main stage. From 2-4 p.m., the event will offer a Recycled Paper Origami Art Show taking place inside the Campus Center Lounge.
