Butte College’s Performing Arts proudly presents the multi-award winning musical Cabaret with seven performances November 4- 14 at the main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive.
Take a step back in time and visit Weimer Berlin, Germany of the late 1920s where the drama of love plays out at the legendary Kit Kat Klub amidst the rise of the Nazi party and the unfolding nightmare of a country on the verge of war from the comfort of your seat in Butte College’s state-of-the-art Black Box Theatre.
Cabaret, brought to the stage by the same team who produced and directed the sell-out productions of Chicago and RENT, features a talented cast of 27 local student actors, performing such famous numbers as Willkommen, Cabaret, Mein Herr, The Money Song and Two Ladies accompanied by a 10-piece orchestra.
“The acting, singing and dancing combined with the period costumes, two-story set and a live orchestra make this a powerful, exciting production,” says Barry Piccinino, Butte College Director of Cabaret.
Cabaret performances will be held in the ARTS Building’s Black Box Theatre on Butte College’s main campus at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 with a matinée performance at 2 p.m. on November 14. Tickets are $17 for the general public and $10 for students with ID. Tickets may be purchased online at www.butte.edu/drama; through the University Box Office by calling 530-898-6333; or at the door prior to each performance.
