Join us to find out how Butte College is a national leader in sustainability as the college celebrates Campus Sustainability Day on Thursday, October 21. Butte College is on track to become the first college in the nation to be “grid positive” – actually producing more energy than it uses in April 2011. The event takes place on the Butte College Campus Center lawn, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn about the college’s sustainable best practices with demonstrations and informational booths including Food Services, Recycling, Lettuce Project, Facilities, Transportation, Bookstore, Sustainability Resource Center, Auto, and others. Two presentations will take place in the Center for Excellence: Sustainable Agriculture and Sustainable Community Development in Honduras from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a Bioneers Panel Discussion takes place from10:30 a.m. to noon.
