Butte College Announces New Class Fee Policy Beginning in April

A new class fee payment policy will go into effect in April for all Butte College students. Starting with Summer and Fall 2010 registration, students will have seven days from the time of registration to pay fees or risk being dropped from one or more classes.

“This new policy helps Butte College manage class capacity and prevents students from holding places in classes they may not be serious about taking. Students will have to pay for the classes they sign up for, and won’t be able to hold classes that they are uncertain about taking. This policy helps all students enroll in the classes they want in a timely manner,” said Clinton Slaughter, Butte College Director of Admissions and Records.

To avoid being dropped from classes, students may pay fees in full within seven days of registration; show proof of sufficient financial aid through FAFSA, scholarship, GI bill, patron agreement; or create a fee payment plan online. Students will be responsible for making payment arrangements or providing proof of exemption status.
