In conjunction with the “This Way to Sustainability VI” Conference taking place in November, the Butte College Art Gallery is featuring the Sustainable Art and Architecture Exhibition beginning November 1 through the 21. The Sustainable Art and Architecture Exhibition reflects on the role of the arts in fostering a sustainable society. Artwork and projects displayed in the show will address sustainability themes such as peace and social justice, ecology, non-violence, grassroots democracy, green technologies, and human settlement.
A “Call for Entries” has been announced to artists, designers, architects, and community members who are invited to submit works that address sustainability themes. Entries may be submitted online at www.butte.edu or by mail. Mail-in entry forms can be obtained at the Butte College Art Gallery on the main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, or the Butte College Chico Center, 2320 Forest Avenue.
