Butte College Football Coach Named "Coach of the Year"

Butte College Football Coach, Jeff Jordan has been named the 2008 American Community College Football Coaches Association's "Coach of the Year," and he will travel to the 2009 ACFA Convention in Nashville to receive the award.

"I am honored to have been considered for the award," remarked Jordan. "This wouldn't be possible if we didn't have a tremendous team and staff. We had a remarkable winning season, going undefeated and being recognized as state and national champions."

This marks Jordan's eleventh year of coaching at the college, with three of those years serving as the head football coach. The Butte College Roadrunners had an incredible season, 12-0, winning the NorCal Conference Championship, Community College Athletic Association State Championship, and recently was ranked the national community college champions by JC Gridiron.

"We're so pleased and thrilled for Jeff Jordan, our players and staff who had an amazing season," said Diana Van Der Ploeg, Butte College President. "This is an exciting time for our college and Jeff certainly deserves this national recognition."
