Students are welcome to attend any of these workshops on a drop-in basis. No pre-registration is necessary.
Workshops begin promptly. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
Students may be eligible to earn 1/2-unit credit by attending 8 workshops and fulfilling additional requirements. An add card is required. Please see CAS staff (inside the Center for Academic Success) (895-2386) for more information.
All workshops are held on main campus in LRC 223 (inside the Center for Academic Success on the main floor of the Learning Resource Center building). No pre-registration is required.

Overcoming Obstacles to Success
Gain insight into the nature of personal and academic obstacles, identify current obstacles you are facing, and then follow steps to success to help you address these challenges.
Becoming an Active Learner
Develop strategies for active learning and become familiar with your preferred learning style. This workshop can help you become a lifelong learner.
Improving Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is more important than IQ for success in many aspects of life. Learn about the four components of EQ and how to master them to manage stress and be successful.
Believing in Yourself
The most successful students believe in themselves even when they are facing obstacles and challenges. Review the eight On Course Principles of Success and learn practical ways to stay on course in all your current and future goals and dreams.
