Fall 2015 Critical Skills Workshops
are now available. Please select links on the left.

Don't miss out! Attend a workshop and learn new strategies and skills!

Workshops end December 4th.
No workshops the week of Thanksgiving.

All current Butte College students are welcome to attend our free, drop-in workshops. No pre-registration is necessary. Workshops are 50 minutes long and take place on main campus and at the Chico Center. Workshops begin promptly; late arrivals will not be admitted.

One student's description of the workshops, after completing the ½-unit Critical Skills course: "They are awesome! I have learned something out of every one of them. I think I could even retake some of them and learn even more!" - Marian White, Butte College student

In addition, the Butte College Library provides information on drop-in library resources, free online courses, Butte College credit courses, and other great resources to support students in the area of digital literacy. Click here for details.

Procedure for Attendance at CAS Critical Skills Workshops

For CAS Critical Skills Workshops on main campus, simply check in at the CAS front desk about 5-10 minutes before the workshop is scheduled to begin. For CAS workshops at the Chico Center, go directly to the classroom and you will be checked in as you enter. Please plan on arriving on time as workshops begin promptly, and no one will be admitted after the instructor has begun the presentation.

Students attending workshops will receive proof of attendance upon satisfactory completion of the workshop. (This semester Blackboard Workshops are not available for CAS credit.) Students are expected to offer their full attention during the workshop; receipt of the proof-of-attendance form is at the discretion of the workshop presenter.
