Qualifications

To be qualified for the selection process all general and academic requirements must be met as indicated with appropriate documentation on file with Butte College. The exception is the physical and physician certification which will be required during the enrollment process.

1. Prerequisite courses must be complete at the time of application. Priority for selection will be given to those candidates who have applied in the previous year.
2. In the event that there are more qualified candidates than vacancies in the class, a computer lottery will select the individuals to be enrolled.
3. Previous applicants must reapply consecutively in order to be considered for priority admission to the next program.

Application

The Respiratory Care program begins every fall semester and is open by application only.  The application deadline each year is February 28.  The lottery, if necessary, will be run in March and applicants will be notified of their status by April 10.

An application may be picked up in the Health Occupations Office or printed from the link above after December 1st and delivered or mailed with all required attachments to the Health Occupations Office.
