I am an instructor at Butte College in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department. I have been teaching Early Childhood Education/Child Development and Life Management courses since 2000. An alumnus of Butte College, I graduated with an AA in Liberal Studies and subsequently obtained a BA in Liberal Studies/Child Development from CSU, Chico. I continued my education at National University where I received an MS in Education.
Prior to being a full-time instructor, I worked with children as a teacher and eventually a site Director. My intrinsic love for children and desire to educate is a hard combination to beat. My primary goal is to provide students with an opportunity to create a realistic and successful vision for themselves with educational courses that are accessible, valuable and exciting for students from all kinds of backgrounds. To do that, I find that it's important to continually assess the current research and information and evolving it in my teaching experience. I believe the value of education is priceless.
