The Business Education Department supports two clubs on campus. Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and The Investment Club. Students that participate in these clubs make connections with other students, faculty and industry leaders.
SIFE is an international organization that mobilizes college students around the world to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible leaders. Students participate in annual competitions with students from around the country. For more information on SIFE please contact faculty advisor Andy Radler.
Economics Instructor Steve Price established the Investment Club. Students learn the basics of investing and start their own portfolios with $10,000 of “play money”. Guest speakers are scheduled at meetings and students are eligible to win $75, $50, or $25. The investment contest is conducted online using real-time stock prices and allows you to buy, sell, and even short (bet the price will go down) stocks traded on all major U.S. stock exchanges.
