Hello, my name is George Medina, one of the four instructors in the Butte College Automotive Technology Program. I am also the Department Chair and as such one of my many responsibilities is interviewing new students and explaining how our Automotive Program works and how the Automotive Industry is for a career. My teaching responsibility is Engines, HVAC Systems and related subsystems.
Due to the extreme popularity of our programs, Honda PACT and our Core Technician Program, we have had to use a wait list for the past eight years. To get your name placed on this list you must make an appointment to see me in person so that I can explain our three programs and all that is involved in becoming an automotive technician in today's world. If you live out of the area, I will work with you on this meeting. Start the appointment process by filling out and submitting the appointment contact information sheet (click here) .
Finally, if you are serious about attending Butte College, you must have a Butte College ID number and you can only achieve this by applying online (click here) or downloading an application and mailing it to Admissions and Records. There is no cost for applying to Butte College.
So, to become a student in our Automotive Technology Program, apply to Butte College to get your ID number, fill out and submit the appointment contact information sheet, then I will e-mail you for a time to come and visit our facility and discuss our programs.
I am looking forward to talking to you about your future here at Butte College.
