Choosing a Program or Career

Degrees and Programs
Butte College has a wonderful variety of educational options from which to choose. Those include transfer degrees to a four-year college, Associate in Arts or Science Degrees, certificate programs, courses that will prepare you for employment, career skills coursework, and personal enrichment classes.

English as a 2nd Language (ESL)
Our English as a Second Language classes are offered in the evenings at various locations.

International Students
Small class size, highly educated and experienced instructors, transfer opportunities, a safe environment, and low fees are just some of the reasons international students come to Butte. A dedicated International Recruitment staff is eager to provide individualized help to international students.

Study Abroad
A diverse and dynamic program offering short-term and semester-abroad destinations and courses of study not often found with other colleges.

Honors Program
The Butte College Honors Program is a selection of classes designed for students who are curious, self-motivated, love to read and write, and are looking for an active, challenging education experience.

Careers and Techincal Programs
The Butte-Glenn Community College District offers Career and Technical Education programs designed to prepare students to enter their selected career or occupation, and to advance socially, economically, and professionally within their selected careers.
